In the development and creation of my coursework, I have planned a photoshoot, created two front covers and then re-drafted these, as well as two contents pages, the pictures I have used across my Christmas products were fully original as they were not inspired by anything I had looked, however, for the NYE cover, I was inspired by an edition of Japanese VOGUE as pictured below.
What had drawn my attention to this was that they were all models from different ethnicities yet all standing almost as a family, the message I am trying to send through my products is that fashion is for everyone no matter the identity and such. This was clearly the way to go in my opinion as it exactly represented the way I felt towards fashion, a multitude of models from different backgrounds all standing together as a family.
Due to a number of limitations, my photoshoot was not the most ideal as it had to take place in a normal house that had no fashion aspect whatsoever, I therefore used mise-en-scene as well as photo-editing throught photoshop in order to make my covers, this included me moving furniture and using different camera angles, as well as removing certain objects from my pictures such as plants or paintings in the background, this proved to be quite a difficult task but after a considerable amount of work, I was finally able to execute the ideas I had in mind.
My next objective is the website creation, I plan to use a range of original images as well as images from secondary sources across my website pages, the homepage will feature articles about various topics such as fashion, health and such. I will also show media convergence by adding pretend links to social media accounts that IDEM would be represented on, this will be visible across all the pages. The second page will be an 'about us' page that informs the readers about Bauer's values and what IDEM stands for, it will also include a more 'human' part where readers can get to know the models and faces of IDEM.
